1. Your Thoughts Are Like The Setting Of The Sail :
During our lives the winds of circumstance blow on all of us in an unrelenting flow that touches each of our lives.
We have all experienced the cold winds of disappointment, despair and heartbreak. Why, then, would each of us all beginning at the same point, arrive at such different places at the end of the journey? Have we all been blown by the winds of circumstances and buffeted by the turbulent storms of discontent?
What guides us to different destinations in life is determined by the way we have chosen to Think. The way that each of us thinks makes the major difference in where each of us arrive. The major difference is the set of the sail.
The same circumstances happen to us all. We have disappointments and challenges. We all have reversals and those moments when, in spite of our best plans and efforts, things just seem to fall apart. Challenging circumstances are not events reserved for the poor, the uneducated or the destitute. The rich and the poor have marital problems. The rich and the poor have challenges that can lead to financial ruin and personal despair.
In the final analysis, it is not what happens that determines the quality of our lives, it is what we choose to think and focus on when we have struggled to set the sail and then discover, after all of our efforts, that the wind has changed directions.
When the winds change, we must change. We must stand on our feet once more and reset the sail in the manner that will steer us toward the destination of our own deliberate choosing. The set of the sail, how we think and how we respond, has a far greater capacity to destroy our lives than any challenges we face. How quickly and responsibly we react to adversity is far more important than the adversity itself. Once we understand this, we will finally and willingly conclude that the great opportunity of life is to control our thinking.
Learning to reset the sail with the changing winds rather than being blown in a direction we did not purposely choose requires the development of a whole new discipline. It involves going to work on establishing the habit of thinking which will help to influence in a positive way all that we do and decide.
If we can succeed in this worthy endeavor, the result will be a change in the course of our income, lifestyle and relationships, and in how we feel about the things of value as well as the times of challenge. If we can understand and control the way we perceive, judge and decide upon the all issues of our lives then we can dramatically change our lives.
To Your Success,

Rev Stuart recommends the book, Think and Grow Rich, probably one of the most quoted books on success, next to the Bible.

2. Energy for the Mind :
EXPERIENCE
Take time to learn from the past so that you can draw from your experiences and invest them in the future.
Life is the collection of experiences and the intensity you bring to them
Most people carry the past as a burden instead of a lesson to improve. Use it to educate you so you can move forward.
Be a sponge when it comes to daily life. If you want to express it well, you must first absorb it well.
Read at least one book every month because a man who won't read is far worse off than a man who cant read.

3. Read The Right Books
"People are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to improve themselves; they therefore remain bound."
- As A Man Thinketh
We spend thousands of dollars every year to change or improve our outward appearance but very little money or time to change our inward condition. Many people spend an hour or more per day brushing, flossing, bathing, and shaving the outside and yet they refuse to spend even a few minutes a day improving the inside.
How can you apply what you learn from As A Man Thinketh? Since it is our thoughts that determine the life we will have, you must focus on doing those things that will change your thoughts, and nothing is more effective at changing your thoughts than reading the right books.
I first read As A Man Thinketh back in 1998. I was reading a book (in a borders book store) which mentioned As A Man Thinketh, so i went to the counter and they found a copy which i then spent the rest of the afternoon reading. It opened my mind up to so many ideas and possibilities and no it didn't change my life as so many people tell us a book has…did it effect the way i looked at things , yes of course but lets remember life is a culmination of ideas coming in to alignment to create a new picture of the way you currently understand your world.
"You are today the same you'll be in five years from now, except for two things: the people you meet and the books you read. The people you meet can't always be with you, but what you read in books can remain with you a lifetime. How often we hear of individuals who began a new era in their lives from the reading of a single book."
So lets start a new habit today? Invest just fifteen minutes per day before going to bed and upon rising, and read from a personal development book or biography of someone you admire. At the end of the year you will have read about 12 books – at the end of five years about 60 books!!
Through your changed thoughts you will have changed your external world for the better… It's a true story that to increase your vocab is to increase your intelligence and with a higher level of intelligence you will have new ways of seeing things and dealing with things, so start reading NOW..
English writer Aldous Huxley observed, "Every person who knows how to read has it in his power to magnify himself, to multiply the ways in which he exists, to make his life full, significant, and interesting."
That's worth thinking about… isn't it ?
4. Study Of The Richest Men in the World
Less than a century ago Napoleon Hill set out to interview some of the richest men in the world and to record their great achievements. Those results have been recorded and packaged in to a total of 17 principles which have been read and studied by countless thousands over the years and have helped create many of today's most successful business people in the world.
Think and Grow Rich is probably the most quoted book on success of all time, next to the Bible.
This truly is a treasure
"Most people don't do well simply because they refuse to think well."
